kids in space

This term we are learning about space .

On Monday  we went to Kids in Space.  Kids in Space is a programme that come to our kura .

We  got to dress up  as an astronaut.  I  wore a white  suit.

We learnt  about  how to eat in space. You dry and squish the food so there is no water in the food then when you are in space you add water and eat it .

We made a flip book about moon phases, did you know that there are 8 phases? We also made straw rockets .
Here is a link to instructions for making your own rocket .

Here is a photo of the class in our suits.

I thought  it was fun to learn about space I liked dressing up and making the straw rockets but I liked making  the flip books the most but  I like everything .
Would you like to go into space?

Thank you for reading my blog!

Waka Tete

for the past day my group, Kahu, Iziah, Ruby, Tk and I have been researching on waka Tete. We had to find out the name of it, how many people it can hold and what tools were used to make it.

I found it easy because our groups worked together really well but one thing our group struggled with was having to find what tools were used to make the waka.

Here is some of our mahi
